Buy VS Rent
Wednesday, December 14, 2016 @ 2:10 PM

Everyone has been telling me this,

"Don't work so hard, you need to learn how to enjoy life."

Not that I like to work hard for money and only focus on making money. Without a house, I feel incomplete. It's like you have $4, you either use it to eat a decent meal or buy a expensive magnum ice-cream for luxury.

A house is not cheap, down payment is not cheap, to commit to it is also not cheap. Not just the upfront deposit, also the long term monthly installment that can potentially stress you out if your income is unstable. To start enjoying life now means delay the goal for buying a house, to buy a house now also means no extra money for other expenses because of the monthly housing loan payment.

Sometimes I ask myself if it worths to work hard to buy a house and slave for it. Sacrificing few years just to get a house of my own, and then once I got it, I become a slave of paying housing loan. I read about a debate on renting vs buying. Which is cheaper monthly? Unless I loan a small sum for the house, but that also means putting in a huge sum for the house. Then start my slavery life for at least 3 years before selling the house. Put in a big sum for the house means doing a restart on my finance. Not that I can't but it does stress me out to put in most of my money into a house.

So stressssssss......
