Stay humble, stay focus Monday, February 13, 2017 @ 1:05 AM
To be humble is easy, to focus is easy. The hard part is to stay humble and focus. Humans tend to become arrogant once they have a bit of achievement. They forgot how they started up, they forgot who lifted them up. They suddenly feel strangely powerful and want to take charge of things that seem "wrong". How do you define "wrong"?
Thieves don't think they are wrong until they are caught stealing.
Patients don't think they are wrong until they collapse upon their beds.
We complain because we all took lives for granted. Like it is only right that the air is clean to breathe, water is clean to drink, parents are entitled to support us until the day we "declare independence", etc.
If it's not singapore, air wouldn't be this fresh.
If it's not LKY, water wouldn't be drinkable from tap.
If it's not our parents who raise us up, we would have died the moment born.
It's only when you learn that nothing is obligated, don't take anything anyone for granted, then you will have better goal and vision about life.
I'm still learning everyday. Trying to let go of the past and forgive those who let you down or owe you an apology. It's hard, but once I am able to let go, I'll be bulletproof. When someone spits in your face, be it your closed ones or stranger, to retaliate is easy, if you're lucky you scare that person off, if you're unlucky you will have lots of worries after that. To keep cool and solve things rationally, that's the real master skill.
I'm not sure how long do I need to take to learn to stay humble, but I will constantly remind myself what I want to achieve in life. Go go!
